I always look forward to the pumpkin patch each year. It's not so much because I like pumpkins, but mostly because of the scenic drive out of the city, the traditional breakfast out, and the company of a few friends (this time as a married couple!). This year we changed things up a bit and headed to Jubilee Farm with the Monroes and Mckenzie's family. Oh yeah, and we had a baby with us too.
Mckenzie's nieces and nephew were so cute. It really is all about the pictures when it comes to the pumpkin patch.
We took a horse drawn wagon out to the patch. Miles fell asleep as we bumped along.
The weather was amazing for the first weekend in October! I quickly picked out a decent pumpkin (I'm not too picky) and the little ones found some winners too. Again, it's all about the photos, so we took a few.
Miles, however, was not too thrilled about the sun in his eyes, his pacifier that kept falling out, and the fuzzy bomber hat I made him wear in the 70 degree sun. I guess I can't blame him.
We're always amazed that it's pumpkin season again, but I'm seeing change as the new normal these days. And I'm happy to embrace this fall.
love that hat...and these crisp fall photos!
